Initial Public Offering

Happiest Minds Technologies created waves when it opened its IPO for the first time in 2020. It was a huge success in the capital market.

The company’s IPO, which closed on September 9 2020, was oversubscribed 151 times. It got bids for 3.51 billion shares versus the 23.3 million on offer, ranking it among India’s most successful first-time share sales of the current decade. The Happiest Minds share price band for this offer had been fixed at ₹165-166 for every equity share. The quota for institutional investors was subscribed over 77 times. For non-institutional investors, 6.3 million shares were allotted and subscribed over 351 times.

Beating a 3-year revenue CAGR, Happiest Minds' annual revenue growth of 41.76% outperformed its 3-year CAGR of 23.14%. Moreover, it has spent less than 1% of its operating revenues on interest expenses and 56.69% on employee costs in the year ending 31 March 2022.
