Business operations

Cyient Limited deals in engineering solutions, including product development and life-cycle support, along with process, network and content engineering. The company operates through two main segments.

Cyient Limited underwent two major acquisitions in the financial year 2022-23 that improved its portfolio and expertise. Citec, headquartered in Finland, specialises in plant and process engineering, decarbonisation and sustainable technologies, enhancing Cyient's ability to support customers in achieving their ESG objectives.

On the other hand, Celfinet, based in Portugal, focuses on wireless communications, end-to-end network planning, and performance optimisation services. This improved Cyient's wireless engineering capabilities.

Cyient Limited has had a transformative journey through strategic alliances and expansions. In the mid-90s, it made a 128 KBPS Satellite Link from STP in Hyderabad. Partnerships in the late 90s with APTA Conseil of France and Germany's OpenShop Internet Software improved the company's software product development.

Cyient inaugurated a significant US geospatial production facility in Maryland in 2005 as a result of collaborative efforts with Frostburg State University and Maryland entities.

The subsequent years witnessed Cyient's global reach expand, marked by branch office openings in Malaysia and a significant rebranding in 2014. The company's growth continued with the establishment of design centres in Bengaluru.

Cyient further solidified its position in the industry in 2022 by introducing an AI-powered framework for automated system and software testing.
