The Dhamra Port, a collaboration between Larsen & Toubro and Tata Steel near the Dhamra river in the Bhadrak district of Odisha, has been under criticism from organisations like Greenpeace, the Wildlife Protection Society of India, and the Orissa Traditional Fishworkers' Union for environment protection. In response to this, the company stated that it has been working with International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) for assistance in implementing environmental standards and designing measures to curb potential hazards during the construction and operation of the port.

COVID-19 Impact

As COVID-19 hit the country, Tata Steel cut down on operations across India and Europe in lieu of the preventive measures taken by the respective governments. As stated by company officials, the organisation focused primarily on conserving cash and liquidity while reducing the cost base to align with the crisis by heavily focusing on capital management.

Future Prospects

With various accolades and awards, the company's future as a powerhouse looks promising especially from the investment angle. There's no doubt that the company will prove profitable to everyone involved, from employees and investors to stakeholders. With the stock split in July, 2022, the Tata Steel share price is forecasted to rise.
