KEC International bags orders worth ₹1,004 crore for its multiple business verticals

KEC International bags orders worth ₹1,004 crore for its multiple business verticals

KEC International on Friday announced receiving multiple new orders worth ₹1,004 crore across its different business verticals. The orders have been secured not just in India but also the Americas.

The company secured these new orders for its Transmission and Distribution (T&D), Civil, Railways, and Cables businesses, marking a breakthrough order for the supply of power transmission conductors.

The RPG Group company won a composite order for the construction of transmission lines, substations as well as underground cabling in India, along with an order for the supply of towers, hardware and poles in the Americas, under the Transmission & Distribution business.

Under its Civil business vertical, KEC International secured an order for the development of a residential project from a well-known real estate developer in India.

The infrastructure EPC firm bagged an order for a 2 x 25 kV Overhead Electrification (OHE) for its Railways business, along with associated works regarding upgradation of speed in India.

The company’s Cables business has secured orders for the supply of conductors and cables in the country. It must be noted that this order win is KEC International’s maiden order for the supply of power transmission conductors (ACSR and AL-59) from a reputed government utility, the company stated in a press release.

Under the Cables business, the company has bagged another order for the supply of various types of cables.

The latest orders take KEC International’s year-to-date (YTD) order intake to nearly ₹17,500 crore, the company informed the stock exchanges.

“The consistent inflow of orders in T&D has significantly bolstered our order book, particularly within India. Our Civil business has further widened its presence in the residential segment with the addition of an esteemed client. We are also enthused with the Railway order in the Semi High-Speed Rail under Mission ‘Raftaar’,” said Vimal Kejriwal, MD and CEO of KEC International.

After the announcement, the company’s shares rose as much as 2.52% to touch an intraday high of ₹680 per piece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Shares of the company closed 0.4% higher at ₹665.9 apiece.
