Closing bell: Markets close in green, NIFTY50 closes above 22,140 SENSEX gains over 520 points; Stock Market Highlights

The NIFTY Midcap 100 index (+0.06%) closed slightly in green today. Meanwhile, NIFTY Smallcap 100 Index (+0.96%) closed marginally in green on Wednesday.

The BANK NIFTY (+0.40%) index closed in green. Buy sentiment for HDFC Bank, Kotak BankI and Axis Bank pulled the index.

Benchmark Indices – NIFTY50 (+0.64%) and SENSEX (+0.72%) – closed in green after strong opening. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 24 stocks were advancing. Reliance, Bajaj Finance were among top gainers

Shares of HCL Tech were marginally up 0.13 % at ₹1,564.25 on Wednesday. The company announced receipt of order from Finland-based Oriola Corporation for digital and customer services.

BSE SENSEX AT 2:20 PM:

Shares of UFlex Limited fell as much as 3.40 % in intraday trade to ₹404.00 on Wednesday. This was after the company reported a fraud committed by a former director of its UK unit, UFlex Europe Limited.

Shares of Chatha Foods listed on BSE SME with a 30% premium to its issue price. Shares of the company are now trading at ₹73.50, up 0.68%. IPO of the company was subscribed more than 19 times.

Shares of Interglobe Aviation Limited rose as much as 2.75% to ₹3,526.25 Company’s CEO Pieter Elbers, in an interview with PTI, revealed Indigo aims to double in size by 2030 with new domestic and international routes and destinations.

Shares of Adani Power were up as much as 2.7% on Wednesday. The Competition Commission of India approved Adani’s proposal to purchase a 100% equity stake in Lanco Amarkantak, a bankrupt thermal power company. Shares are now trading at ₹536.35 on NSE.
