NIFTY50 and SENSEX rebound, UPL and Coal India zoom; Stock Market Highlights

The NIFTY Midcap 100 index (+0.3%) closed higher today. Meanwhile, NIFTY Smallcap 100 Index (+0.1%) closed in the green today.

The NIFTY Financial Services (+1.2%) index closed higher today, with HDFC AMC and Chola Finance being the top gainers, while PFC was the sole loser.

The BANK NIFTY (+1.2%) index closed in the green. Gains in ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and Kotak Bank supported the index.

After the sell-off on Monday, India’s benchmark indices – NIFTY50 (+0.5%) and SENSEX (+0.6%) – rebounded today. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 36 stocks closed in the green. Gains in ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries and Axis Bank helped in propelling the benchmark indices higher. The oil-to-retail conglomerate – Reliance Industries – became the first Indian company to cross the ₹20 lakh crore mark.

Meanwhile, UPL, Coal India and Axis Bank were the top gainers. On the other hand, Hindalco, Grasim and Divis Lab were the top losers.

The IPO of Entero Healthcare Solutions has been subscribed 1.5 times on the final day. The retail portion has been fully subscribed. The segment for qualified institutional investors has also been subscribed 2.2 times.

India’s benchmark indices – NIFTY50 (+0.5%) and SENSEX (+0.6%) – trade higher today. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 32 stocks are in the green. Meanwhile, UPL, Coal India and SBI Life are the top gainers.

Shares of the forging company are down 2% today.

This comes a day after the company reported its Q3 numbers.
