Markets ends marginally higher, NIFTY50 close at 22,335, SENSEX gains over 160 points; Stock Market LIVE Updates

The NIFTY Midcap 100 index (-1.41%) closed lower today. Meanwhile, NIFTY Smallcap 100 Index (-1.98%) closed in the red today.

The BANK NIFTY (-0.10%) index closed in red. Sell-off in State Bank of India, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank dragged down the index.

Benchmark indices – NIFTY50 (+0.01%) and SENSEX (+0.22%) – sheds early morning gains to close marginally higher. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 37 stocks closed lower. Adani Enterprises, Grasim and Cipla were among top losers.

Two IPOs made their stock market debut today, RK Swamy and Bharat Highways InvIT. The IPO of RK Swamy, which listed at a discount of 13%, was subscribed 25 times. The public issue of Bharat Highways InvIT listed at a premium of 1%.

India’s benchmark indices – NIFTY50 (+0.04%) and SENSEX (+0.27%) – are trading higher. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 37 stocks are declining. HDFC Bank, TCS, LTIMindtree are among top gainers, while Cipla, Grasim, Adani Enterprises are top losers.

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) worth ₹193 crore from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam, the company said in an exchange filing.

Shares of Zee Entertainment surged 1.89% or ₹2.95 to trade at ₹159.

Bharat Highways InvIT made a lacklustre debut on stock exchanges on Tuesday, March 12. Shares of the investment infrastructure trust were listed at a premium of 1% at ₹101 per unit on the National Stock Exchange against the issue price of ₹100 per unit.
