Shares of IT major Happiest Minds staged a recovery from an initial slump of nearly 4% on Thursday after the company announced entering into a strategic partnership with cybersecurity firm Secureworks to offer Extended Detection and Response (XDR) services globally.

Happiest Minds Technologies has joined Secureworks’ Global MSSP Partner program to meet the growing customer demand for XDR services worldwide, the company said in a statement.

Regarding the tie-up, the company stated that organizations of all sizes across industries are grappling with a litany of cybersecurity challenges as they seek to responsibly manage their cyber risk.

Among these challenges, the most notable is the rapidly decreasing dwell times, now less than 24 hours, which makes the speed of response ever more critical, it added.

"However, cybersecurity is in the midst of a pronounced skills crisis, which is inhibiting security teams’ ability to scale and deliver the outcomes businesses need," the company said.

Working with Secureworks, Happiest Minds empowers organizations to bolster their cyber defenses, build cyber resiliency, and respond rapidly to multiple threats across an expanding attack surface to protect all IT assets – now and in the future, the statement read.

Citing an early analysis, the IT major said that its customers will benefit from a 90% reduction in the meantime to detect and meantime to respond with the integration of next-gen SOAR capabilities as well as a 60% reduction in remediation team effort with customized workflow-based automation
