EaseMyTrip subsidiary partners with Jacqueline Fernandez’s YOLO Foundation

EaseMyTrip Foundation, a subsidiary of travel tech platform EaseMyTrip, has partnered with Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s YOLO Foundation.

Announcing the tie-up in an exchange filing on Tuesday, EaseMyTrip said the collaboration aims to show support and commitment to animal welfare by providing timely and quality medical support and transportation for sick and injured animals. The foundations have donated 10 fully equipped animal ambulances.

Commenting on the development, Nishant Pitti, founder of EaseMyTrip, said that the company has always believed in giving back to the community and hoped the ambulances would significantly affect animal welfare.

“EaseMyTrip Foundation has always believed in giving back to the community, and partnering with the YOLO Foundation to support animal welfare aligns perfectly with our values. We hope that these ambulances will make a significant difference and inspire others to contribute towards animal welfare,” Pitti said in the release.

At 12:22 PM on Tuesday, shares of Easy Trip Planners, the parent company of EaseMyTrip, traded at ₹42.27, up by 0.88% on the National Stock Exchange.

Last month, Easy Trip Planners posted its financial results for the March 2024 quarter. Despite a spike in revenue, the travel company slipped into losses.

EaseMyTrip posted a loss of ₹15.07 crore in the March quarter compared to a net profit of ₹31.05 crore in the year-ago period. The company had posted a net profit of ₹45.68 crore in the quarter that ended in December 2023.

The consolidated revenue from operations for the March quarter surged nearly 41% to ₹164.04 crore compared to ₹116.59 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal. Sequentially, the company’s revenue from operations grew 2% from ₹160.79 crore in the December quarter. Its revenue from operations for FY24 grew over 32% to ₹590.58 crore compared to ₹448.83 crore in the preceding fiscal.

EaseMyTrip’s net profit for the full fiscal year fell nearly 23% to ₹103.47 crore from ₹134.1 crore in FY23.

Founded in 2008, EaseMyTrip claims to be India’s second-largest online travel platform. The company’s founders are Nishant Pitti, Rikant Pitti and Prashant Pitti.
