Stock Market Highlights: Markets close mixed; NIFTY50 down 0.18%, SENSEX up 60 points

Benchmark indices closed mixed on Wednesday, with NIFTY50 down 0.18% and SENSEX surging 60 points. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 39 stocks were declining. Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank were among top losers.

Aayush Wellness Limited, erstwhile Aayush Food and Herbs Limited, has got approval from its Board of Directors for split of its existing fully paid-up equity shares. This strategic move involves the sub-division of one equity share having a face value of ₹10 each into 10 equity shares with a face value of ₹1 each.

Benchmark indices are trading mixed on Wednesday, with NIFTY50 marginally down (-0.08%) and SENSEX surging 90 points. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 37 stocks were declining. Titan, L&T and Hindalco were among top losers.

Shares of Netweb Technologies jumped 4% on Wednesday after the company announced the launch of its state-of-the-art, Make-In-India range of servers.

Netweb Technologies said that the single/dual socket server platforms are designed to harness the capabilities of the latest 4th gen AMD EPYC processors. The servers are available in 1U, 2U, 4U, workstations, and other models. Read more.

Shares of Indus Towers Ltd plunged nearly 10% in trade on Wednesday, June 19, after a huge block deal on the counter saw as much as 20% equity of the company changing hands.

According to data available on exchanges, around 53.3 crore shares of Indus Towers were traded via open market transactions. This aggregated to a deal size of ₹17,065 crore. Read more.

Bharti Airtel has acquired 2.695 crore (i.e. 1%) equity shares of Indus Towers on Wednesday. Prior to this, the company held 47.95% shareholding in Indus Towers.

Venus Remedies has been awarded an oncology tender by the VVHO-backed Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO), the world's oldest international public health agency, for supplying essential cancer drugs to multiple Latin American countries.

Benchmark indices opened higher on Wednesday, with NIFTY50 gaining 0.14% and SENSEX surging 90 points. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 36 stocks were advancing. Power Grid, JSW Steel and IndusInd Bank were among top gainers.
