NIFTY50 closed below 22,150, SENSEX lost over 350 points; Stock Market Highlights

The NIFTY Financial Services (-0.28%) index closed lower today, with ICICI Bank and Axis Bank being the top losers.

The NIFTY Midcap 100 index (-0.36%) closed lower today. Meanwhile, NIFTY Smallcap 100 Index (-0.26%) closed in the red today.

The BANK NIFTY (-0.50%) index closed red. Weakness in ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and Kotak Bank weighed on the index.

Benchmark indices – NIFTY50 (-0.4%) and SENSEX (-0.4%) – closed lower today. Fall in index heavyweights like Infosys, Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, TCS dragged down the index. The fall in information technology (IT) stocks dragged down the index.
