Markets bounce back, NIFTY50 close above 22,100, SENSEX gains over 300 points; Stock Market Highlights

The NIFTY Midcap 100 index (+2.1%) closed higher today. Meanwhile, NIFTY Smallcap 100 Index (+3.4%) closed in the green today. Broader market indices bounced back today after falling more than 5% each in the last three trading sessions.

The BANK NIFTY (-0.41%) index closed in red. Sell-off in State Bank of India, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank dragged down the index.

Benchmark indices – NIFTY50 (+0.7%) and SENSEX (+0.46%) – bounce back to close in green in today's trading session. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 37 stocks closed in green. Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and Hindalco were among top gainers, while Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank were top losers.

• Shares of Genesys International Corporation rose more than 14% today, with a day high of ₹600 per share after the company secured ₹155 crore order from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

• The order work involves development, implementation, and upkeep of highly accurate 3D city model and map stack for Mumbai city.

• The project aims to provide an elaborate and comprehensive overview of the city's landscape to enable precise planning and collaboration among various stakeholders.

Benchmark indices – NIFTY50 (+0.48%) and SENSEX (+0.33%) were trading in green on Thursday. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 34 stocks are advancing. Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Hindalco and Infosys are among top gainers.

Shares of Mukka Proteins hit a lower circuit on Thursday after declining 4.9% to trade at ₹34.45.

Shares of Jet Airways on Thursday rose 4.98% to ₹47.45 to be locked in upper circuit.

Reliance Industries on Thursday, March 14, announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Paramount Global’s 13.01% equity stake in Viacom 18 Media Pvt Ltd for around ₹4,286 crore.
