NIFTY50, SENSEX close in red as Tata Consumer and Power Grid drag; Stock Market Highlights

The NIFTY Financial Services (-0.68%) index ended in red today, with Indian Energy Exchange and State Bank of India being the top draggers.

The BANK NIFTY (-1.06%) index closed in red. State Bank of India, IndusInd Bank, Bandhan Bank dragged the sector.

The domestic markets closed in red on Monday, March 11, with NIFTY50 and SENSEX dropping 0.72% and 0.83% respectively. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 36 stocks closed in red. India VIX, a measure of volatility in the domestic markets, surged 0.38%. Tata Consumer Products and Power Grid were the top losers.

Dilip Buildcon Limited has received Letter of Award (LOA) for a project in Tamil Nadu worth ₹548 crore.

Solar Industries has received export orders worth ₹455 crore for supply of products over two years for use in defence products.

NBCC (India) Limited, formerly known as National Buildings Construction Corporation, has received orders worth ₹367.92 crore.

Shares of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited on Monday hit a 52-week-high of ₹1,617.65, up 0.74%.

Power Grid has signed an Memorandum of Understanding with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited to set up a joint venture company for development of Intra State Transmission System. The proposed JV company shall undertake projects worth up to ₹10,000 crore in a phased manner.
