Why did my order get rejected?

Your buy or sell order may get rejected for various reasons. Common causes include:


  1. Insufficient Margin: You do not have enough funds in your account to execute the order.
  2. Market Closed: The order was placed outside of market hours.
  3. GSM/ASM Rejection or Blocked Scrip: The stock is under Graded Surveillance Measure (GSM) or Additional Surveillance Measure (ASM) restrictions, or it is blocked for trading.
  4. Insufficient Holdings: You attempted to sell shares you do not hold in your portfolio.
  5. Scrip Blocked for Trading: The stock is temporarily restricted from being traded.


How to Check the Rejection Reason?


The specific reason for the rejection is displayed in the Order Details section of the rejected order. Review this information to understand and address the issue.
