You can find your GTT orders on the Upstox website by following the steps below,
Step 1: Open Upstox’s website and sign in with your phone number or by scanning the QR code.
Step 2: Once you’re signed in, the Upstox trading portal will open up. In the middle of the screen, you will see ‘Orders’ beside ‘Discover’. Click on ‘Orders’.
Step 3: Under orders, you will see ‘Regular’, ‘MTF’, ‘GTT’ and ‘Baskets’. Click on ‘GTT’.
Step 4: All your GTT orders will appear on the screen, with ‘Open’ and ‘Closed’ GTT orders.
Prevent failed triggers When you place a GTT order, a limit order is automatically sent to the exchange if the share hits the trigger price. In a highly volatile market, the prices move quickly and may move past your set limit price. In this scenario, your GTT order will not be executed.
Manage price gaps When there are significant price gaps between the market's close and open, this will trigger your GTT order, but not execute. This happens when the new market price is way past your set limit price.
Technical issues Your GTT orders can get cancelled due to technical issues or if the validity of the GTT order expires.
Corporate actions In the event of corporate actions like stock splits, mergers and dividends, your GTT orders are automatically cancelled. So it's better to track your GTT orders to check if they are cancelled.
Insufficient funds In case of insufficient funds at execution, your GTT orders are automatically cancelled by the broker.
