What are the terms and conditions for Upstox Add-On?

1. About the Upstox Add-On Plan

The Upstox Add-On Plan unlocks access to advanced features such as P&L Alerts with Auto Square Off, Conditional Trigger Orders and Trading Insights Scenario Analysis - all of which are not available to Basic Plan users.

2. Plan Flexibility

You can switch between the Add-On Plan and Basic Plan at any time. However, to ensure system stability, a 24 hour cooling-off period is applicable after each switch, during which you won’t be able to change your plan again.

3. Pricing

The Add-On Plan can be activated for free initially.

• If the plan becomes chargeable in the future, we will notify you in advance of the applicable date.

• Upon plan activation, a revised tariff sheet will be sent to your registered email for reference. No separate signature is required, and charges will apply as per this sheet.

• All charges remain within SEBI - prescribed limits.

Brokerage per executed order and pricing details under Upstox Add-On:

• Equity Delivery and MTF Orders: ₹22 or 2.5% (whichever is lower)

• Equity Intraday: ₹22 or 0.1% (whichever is lower)

Yes, Upstox Add-On activates immediately, but activation differs for features and pricing. You get instant access to features, but effective pricing gets activated the next working day.

Why the difference?

Feature access is granted instantly through your account settings as they are already built in. But pricing changes require system-wide coordination across trading, billing, and settlement systems to ensure accurate charge calculations. Hence, a day delay in pricing activation. This prevents mid-day pricing conflicts and ensures seamless billing. So, you can start using advanced tools immediately after activation, but new pricing benefits will apply to trades executed from the next trading day onwards.

How to switch from Add-On Plan to Basic plan?

You can easily switch from the Add-On Plan to the Basic Plan. However, to ensure smooth system functionality, there’s a cooling-off period until midnight. Please wait until then before switching back to the Basic Plan.

Here’s how to switch plans after midnight:

• Open the Upstox mobile app.

• Tap the ‘Up’ icon in the top left corner.

• Go to ‘Pricing Plan’.

• Tap ‘Switch Plan’ under the Basic Plan.

When do pricing-related changes take effect after switching plans?

Pricing changes apply at different times depending on whether you're upgrading or downgrading, and which specific charges are affected.
