What is the use of a ‘Reset’ button on a basket?

The ‘Reset’ button refreshes the basket. If you have already executed an order in the basket, the status of the basket is ‘Executed’. By pressing the reset button, it returns to the original non executed template and you can enter new order details here.

Meanwhile, the orders that were executed previously can be accessed from the Regular orders tab.

Important note.

'Reset' does NOT

  • Cancel previous orders (previous orders remain active)
  • Square off (sell) open positions (you must exit manually)
  • Delete the basket template (it gets refreshed, not removed)
  • Affect your order history or P&L

What ‘Reset’ does

  • Clears execution status
  • Refresh to template state
  • Allows re-entry of order details
  • Enables re-execution with new parameters

‘Reset’ by mistake

In case if you reset by mistake, no harm done. Your previous orders remain unaffected. Simply re-enter details and execute.
