What is Margin Trading Facility (MTF)?

Margin Trading Facility (MTF) is a feature that allows you to buy stocks by paying only a part of the total trade value upfront. Based on the scrip, you may need to contribute between 25% to 50% of the required funds, while Upstox funds the rest (up to 75%) for a nominal fee of ₹20 per day, plus brokerage charges of up to ₹20 per order.
