When you opt for the ‘Pick Strategy’ flow in Upstox, multiple orders are placed that are to be executed. All these orders are in sequence, and when the first order is executed, only then will the next order be sent to the exchange to be executed. These orders are sent and executed in sequential order.
This method decreases the price risk involved by instantly executing the orders at the market option price.
When you see your order ‘In Queue’, it means that they are waiting for the preceding order to be executed. Once the first order is executed, the next order will be sent for execution.
When you place orders using the ‘Pick Strategy’, the multi-leg strategy is processed by Upstox’s system before being sent to the Exchange for the execution.
The orders are in a sequential order and when the first order is executed, the next is sent to the exchange for execution. Hence, some of your orders may show ‘In Queue’.
When the market is experiencing high volatility, many orders are received by the system simultaneously. This may cause small delays in your order being executed, due to the first-come first-out execution system.
When you order is ‘In Queue’, be patient and don’t place the same order again as this places an unintentional position and lead to duplicate order executions.
