How will the SGB Interest be paid?

SGBs give an interest of 2.50% (fixed rate) per annum on the initial investment amount. This interest will be credited semi-annually to your bank account and the last interest will be payable on maturity along with the principal. This will be the same bank account you used to make the payment when placing the application. Alternatively, you can search for 'Subscription Certificate' in your email to find the bank details for your SGB.

Example: If an SGB is launched at a price of ₹5,000, then 2.5% of which is ₹125. You'll receive ₹62.5 every 6 months for each unit you own, till maturity.
