Do I need to maintain enough balance in my Upstox account for mutual fund SIP?

  • There is no requirement to maintain a minimum balance in your Upstox account once you have initiated your first SIP purchase.
  • For an ongoing SIP, each instalment amount will be directly deducted from your bank account.

Note: As per an RBI, NACH, (National Automated Clearing House) circular, SIPs will be debited on Saturdays, Sundays and non-working days too. Ensure you maintain the required balance in your bank account to avoid a penalty. For more information refer to the circular.
