Can I Replace a Failed Order in a Basket?

Yes, you can easily replace or modify failed orders directly from the basket itself. There is no need to delete and recreate the order. Just fix what went wrong in the existing failed order and resubmit.

How to replace a failed order

1. Find the failed order

Look through your basket for any orders marked as 'Open' or 'Scheduled' that have failed. These are highlighted or marked differently from successful completed orders.

2. Click modify

Click on the failed order and you will see a 'Modify' button (quick action). Click on it to open the order editing screen.

3. Make your changes

Update whatever caused the failure. It may be order price, quantity, type or any other specific parameter.

4. Place the modified order

Once you have made the necessary changes, place the order again. It will replace the failed one in your basket and get sent to the exchange.

Why orders fail?

Common causes of failure are:

  • Insufficient funds - Not enough margin or balance
  • Price limits - Limit price too far from current market price
  • Quantity issues - Order size exceeds freeze limits or available quantity
  • Market hours - Trying to place orders outside trading hours

The basket makes it convenient to spot and fix failed orders without disrupting your entire trading strategy!
