Most of the brokerage stocks ended with healthy gains on Wednesday, April 3, despite the volatility in the broader market amid weak global cues. Benchmark indices closed flat in a volatile session marked by higher selling in final hours.

BSE SENSEX settled 27.09 points, or 0.03%, lower at 73,876.82 while NSE NIFTY closed 22,434.65, down 18.65 points, or 0.08%.

Despite the dip in benchmark indices, several brokerage stocks withstood the broader market slide.

Out of the 11 brokerage stocks reviewed in today’s market wrap, 10 ended in the green while just 1 closed in the red.

In Wednesday’s session, leading brokerage firms like 5Paisa Capital, Angel One, IIFL Securities, Geojit Financial Services, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Nuvama Wealth Management, Anand Rathi Wealth, SMC Global Securities, Monarch Networth Capital and ICICI Securities clocked gains up to 10.5%. Only, shares of Dolat Algotech closed in the negative territory.

Here’s a look at how the leading broking firm stocks performed on April 3:

5Paisa Capital

Shares of 5Paisa Capital closed with a significant gain of 10.59% on the NSE at ₹597.05 apiece. The stock opened gap down at ₹534.95 apiece, but later surged as much as 11.46% to hit an intraday high of ₹600.

Angel One

Shares of Angel One ended 5.59% higher at ₹3,178.85 apiece on the NSE. During the session, the stock rose about 5.92% to reach its intraday high of ₹3,215, after opening ₹3,030.05 apiece.

IIFL Securities

Shares of IIFL Securities also jumped higher, ending with a gain of 5.15% at ₹138.75 apiece on the NSE. The stock opened at ₹132.15 and touched an intraday high of ₹139.95.

Geojit Financial Services

Geojit Financial Services shares ended the day with an increase of 2.49% on the NSE. Despite opening lower at ₹75.75 the brokerage stock gained as much as 2.95% to hit an intraday high of ₹78.50 apiece.

Motilal Oswal Financial Services

Motilal Oswal Financial Services closed higher for the day, with a gain of 2.28% at ₹1,830 per share on the NSE. The stock opened at ₹1,788 and oscillated between the day’s low of ₹1,769.15 and a high of 1,830.

Nuvama Wealth Management

Nuvama Wealth Management share price ended the session 1.95% higher at ₹4,910 apiece. The stock had touched an intraday high of ₹ 4,995 after opening at ₹4,920 apiece.

Anand Rathi Wealth

Anand Rathi Wealth shares settled in the green territory at ₹3,505 apiece, up 1.63%. The stock opened at ₹3,449 per piece and reached an intraday high of ₹3,529.9.

SMC Global Securities

SMC Global Securities share price ended higher, closing the day at ₹130.6 apiece, up 1.28%. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹132.3 per share on the NSE.

Monarch Networth Capital

Monarch Networth Capital share ended the day 1.12% higher, at ₹581.9 apiece. The stock opened at ₹570, marginally lower than its previous close of ₹575.45, and reached an intraday high of ₹585.

ICICI Securities

ICICI Securities stock, too, ended the trading session with a gain of 0.03% on Wednesday at ₹720.1 apiece on the NSE, after having ended previous session in the negative territory. The stock reached an intraday high of ₹722 after opening at ₹717.9 apiece on the NSE.

Dolat Algotech

After surging significantly in the previous session, the share price of Dolat Algotech ended in the red, down 1.73% at ₹76.8 apiece on the NSE. The stock opened at ₹77.95, which was also its intraday high, opening at ₹78.15 per share.
