Tata Consultancy Services Ltd announced on Thursday that it has entered into a 7-year partnership with Ramboll to transform the company’s global information technology (IT) infrastructure.

In a filing to the stock exchanges, the Indian IT giant said that it has signed a multimillion-dollar strategic partnership deal with the Denmark’s Ramboll to conduct an end-to-end IT transformation for the company.

As per the details of the partnership, TCS will modernie and streamline the Danish company’s IT operating model in order to drive growth. TCS will also help optimising the IT cost base, over a period of next seven years and it will induct over 300 IT employees of Ramboll in 12 countries, as a part of this deal.

The Indian IT firm will also deliver its services to manage Ramboll’s cloud and data centres, application development and maintenance, digital workplace as well as cyber security, thereby setting a foundation for the company’s growth and adding a factor to decrease its climate footprint, while increasing the scalability.

Ramboll is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy major that provided sustainable solutions. It operates across 35 countries.

It has been growing rapidly over the past few years and conducting multiple mergers and acquisitions, which has resulted in a complex IT architecture and operations structure for the company and unsustainable costs, leaving a small room for large-scale transformations.

In such a scenario, TCS will help reduce Ramboll’s costs and realise economies of scale within the company’s IT estate, achieved by streamlining as well as consolidating its IT architecture and operations structure.

“We are pleased to be selected as Ramboll's strategic technology partner to transform its IT operating model. The partnership shall help Ramboll with a scalable, future-ready IT platform driving business agility. TCS will leverage the power of data, cloud, and analytics to help Ramboll drive intelligent business transformation and enterprise-wide growth,” said the President of Technology, Software and Services business of TCS, V Rajanna, in a press release on March 21, 2024.

Shares of Tata Consultancy Services closed 0.22% higher at ₹3,979.45 apiece on the NSE.
