Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd (ROHL) today announced its entry in Odisha with the opening of Regenta Central in the coastal city of Puri.

Regenta Central is ROHL’s maiden property in Odisha, and the fourth in East India, and achieves significance in the context of the rise in spiritual and cultural tourism in cities such as Puri.

The property is located at a proximity of 50 metres from the Golden Beach. It features 55 rooms across four distinct categories and is located 5 kilometres from Puri Railway Station and the renowned Lord Jagannath Temple, locally known as Srikhetram.

“The launch of Regenta Central in Odisha marks a significant milestone as we set ourselves on an aggressive expansion mode for this fiscal with new hotel openings and signings; we have already announced hotels in Kasauli, Surat and Mumbai in the last 10-15 days and many more are expected soon,” Chander K Baljee, Chairman & Managing Director, ROHL said.

Puri is renowned for its rich history and economic reliance on tourism and the religious significance of landmarks like the ancient 12th-century Jagannath Temple, adds to the emerging tourist hub of the state, Baljee said.

ROHL operates primarily 5-star and 4-star properties under the Royal Orchid and Regenta brands, and owns over 100 hotels.

After crossing the milestone of 100 hotels, the company is looking to capitalise on its growing brand strength and expand aggressively.

“With this opening, we are on our way to launching 35 new hotels this year”, said Arjun Baljee, President, ROHL.

ROHL shares were trading flat in afternoon trade, and have risen 48% over the past one year.

In FY23, the company clocked a profit of Rs 46 crore on revenues of Rs 263 crore.
