LTIMindtree has joined hands with IBM Quantum Network to explore its quantum innovation ecosystem. As part of the deal, the IT consulting and service firm will have access to IBM resources including its global fleet of quantum computing systems, software and associated expertise.

The tie-up makes LTIMindtree the first Indian Global System Integrator (GSI) to join the IBM Quantum Network. The company will expand its platinum partner status with IBM. This will enable LTIMindtree to join a global community comprising Fortune 500 companies, top universities, research labs, and startups, which are already part of IBM Quantum Network. LTIMindtree said that the partnership will benefit its global clientele across industries.
The company also announced plans to collaborate with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, an IBM Quantum Innovation Center, for joint quantum research and workforce development.

Commenting on the development, LTIMindtree's Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Aan Chauhan, said, "We are thrilled to embark on this journey with IBM and IIT Madras, India. These collaborations are more than an innovation milestone; they’re an important step towards a future where quantum computing could help solve more complex problems faster and more efficiently. Importantly, it positions us to expedite our customers’ journey towards realizing the immense value of quantum computing, readying them to leverage these advanced technologies for transformative solutions.”

LTIMindtree, through this collaboration, aims to establish a series of long-term projects, including applied research on business and societal problems, research grants and quantum computing workshops.

LTIMindtree posted encouraging numbers in its quarterly financial performance report for the quarter ending in December 2023.

Shares of LTIMindtree closed Wednesday's trade at ₹5,386 per piece following a 1.04% fall.
