Asian markets trade positively on Thursday morning

Indian markets are set to open marginally positive, taking cues from mixed global markets. The US markets closed lower amid high volatility. At the same time, Asian markets are trading positively in Japanese and Chinese markets on Thursday morning.

On the commodity front, gold prices retreated from the $2400 mark on Wednesday evening, and they are currently trading lower at $2,380 levels. The Brent crude oil prices have fallen sharply from recent highs and are trading at $87.5/barrel in the international markets.

Indian markets continued to witness selling pressure from FII's as they sold equities worth ₹4,468 crore, while domestic institutional investors bought Indian equities worth ₹2,040 crore on Tuesday.

Key stocks to watch

Infosys is set to declare its Q4FY24 earnings on Thursday. The company also announced a collaboration with Proximus, a leading digital and communications service provider in Belgium.

Vodafone Idea raised nearly ₹5,400 crore from several institutional investors through its anchor book launched on April 16. The list includes Marquee institutions like GQG partners, Morgan Stanley, UBS fund management, and HDFC mutual funds.

Adani group fully subscribed to the Ambuja Cements warrants programme, making their total investment now worth ₹20,000 crore. The freshly infused ₹8,339 crore will be used to add new capacities for the company.

ICICI Lombard reported a 19% yoy increase in the net profit at ₹520 crore for Q4FY24 as against ₹437 crore in the previous year same quarter.

Angel One reported a 27% yoy increase in the net profit for Q4FY24 at ₹340 crore vs ₹267 crore in the previous year's same quarter. The company recorded the highest-ever client additions in Q4FY24 at 2.9 million.

Powergrid Corporation of India approved fundraising plans worth ₹12,000 crore in one or more tranches via bonds in the year FY25.

Brigade Enterprises reported robust yearly pre-sales worth ₹6,013 crore for FY24 across the various verticals.
