Shares of IT major Happiest Minds staged a recovery from an initial slump of nearly 4% on Thursday after the company announced entering into a strategic partnership with cybersecurity firm Secureworks to offer Extended Detection and Response (XDR) services globally.

Happiest Minds Technologies has joined Secureworks’ Global MSSP Partner program to meet the growing customer demand for XDR services worldwide, the company said in a statement.

Following the announcement, Happiest Minds shares dropped 3.9% to a low of ₹815.9 apiece on NSE in morning trade. However, the stock recovered some of its early losses and traded marginally lower at ₹843.45 apiece, down 0.66%, at 2:15 pm.

Regarding the tie-up, the company stated that organizations of all sizes across industries are grappling with a litany of cybersecurity challenges as they seek to responsibly manage their cyber risk.

Among these challenges, the most notable is the rapidly decreasing dwell times, now less than 24 hours, which makes the speed of response ever more critical, it added.

"However, cybersecurity is in the midst of a pronounced skills crisis, which is inhibiting security teams’ ability to scale and deliver the outcomes businesses need," the company said.
