SUMMARY
This week, companies such as Tata Communications Ltd, ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co Ltd, Infosys, Wipro, HDFC, Hardcastle and Waud Manufacturing, Jio Financial Services, Hindustan Zinc, Network 18 Media & Investments and CRISIL Den Networks, among others, will also announce results for the fourth quarter of FY24.
At least nine companies will announce their Q4 FY24 results on April 15.
This week, companies such as Tata Communications Ltd, ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co Ltd, Infosys, Wipro, HDFC, Hardcastle and Waud Manufacturing, Jio Financial Services, Hindustan Zinc, Network 18 Media & Investments and CRISIL Den Networks, among others, will also announce results for the fourth quarter of FY24.
Benchmark indices - NIFTY50 and SENSEX - opened lower on Monday amid increasing geopolitical tensions due to Iran-Israel clashes.
SENSEX opened 1.2% or 929 points lower at 73,315, while NIFTY50 shed 0.8% or 180 points to trade at 22,339. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 44 stocks were declining.
BPCL, TATA Motors, Tata Consumer Products, Coal India and Adani Enterprises were among the top losers, while Hindalco, ONGC, TCS and Nestle India gained the most.
NIFTY Bank opened at 48,057, down 1% or 507 points. NIFTY Midcap100 is also down 1.9% or 962 points at 49,105.
Except for NIFTY IT (+0.2%), all sectoral indices are trading in negative territory. NIFTY PSU Bank (-2.4%), NIFTY Media (-2.39%), and NIFTY Realty (-2%) fell the most.
