Stock Market Highlights: Markets close flat; NIFTY50 at 23,264, SENSEX down 43 points

Benchmark indices closed flat on Tuesday, with NIFTY50 ended at 23,264, marginally gaining 0.02%, and SENSEX down 43 points. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 28 stocks were advancing. ONGC, Tata Motors and L&T were among top gainers.

Suzlon Energy on Tuesday announced the company has won a 103.95 megawatt (MW) order from AMPIN Energy Transition. Following this, the stock was trading higher by nearly 3%.

Benchmark indices are trading higher on Tuesday, with NIFTY50 gaining 0.49% and SENSEX up 300 points. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 41 stocks were advancing. ONGC, L&T and Adani Ports were among top gainers.

Shares of affordable housing finance company Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) were also trading 5.7% higher at ₹282.5 after the government approved two crore additional houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) scheme and one crore houses under PMAY-Urban.

Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) on Monday announced it has emerged as the lowest bidder for Central Railway’s OHE modification work for the upgradation of an existing 25 kilovolt (kV) electric traction system in the Amla-Nagpur section to meet the loading target of 3000 MT. Shares of the company were trading nearly 3% higher on Tuesday morning. Read more.

Shares of Transformers & Rectifiers India hit 5% upper circuit at ₹769.15. Yesterday the company opened their QIP (Qualified Institutions Placement) for up to ₹500 crore.

The issue is priced at a floor price of ₹699.95 per equity share, with a discount of 9% based on the CMP of ₹769.15.

Shares of Indigo, the country's largest airline in terms of market share, was down more than 4% in the opening hour of trade on Monday, June 10.

The plunge in stock came after reports, a day earlier, claimed that Interglobe Enterprises is looking to pare up to 2% stake in the carrier. Read more.
