NIFTY50, SENSEX turn green on gains from Eicher Motor and Bajaj Finance; Stock Market Highlights

The NIFTY Midcap 100 index (-0.01%) closed lower today. Meanwhile, NIFTY Smallcap 100 Index (+0.05%) closed marginally in green today.

The BANK NIFTY (-0.16%) index closed in red. Sell-off in HDFC and Axis Bank dragged down the index.

Benchmark indices – NIFTY50 (+0.10%) and SENSEX (+0.20%) – closed in green recovering intraday losses. Out of the NIFTY50 space, 23 stocks closed lower. Eicher Motors, Maruti, and SBI were among the top gainers.

Shares of Zomato were trading at ₹165.45, up 4.75% or ₹7.50, on the NSE.

NBCC has bagged ₹249 crore order from Ministry of External Affairs (GEM Division) for providing Project Management Consultant Services for construction of chancery-cum-residential complex at CGI, Jeddah. The project is valued at ₹249 crore.

India's leading automaker, Maruti Suzuki India, hit a 52-week high of ₹12,024 per share. The stock crossed ₹12,000 level for the first time. The stock currently trades around ₹12,015, up 3.60%.

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd is up 2.2% after its nasal spray gets a nod from the US FDA. Shares of the company are trading at ₹1013.10 on NSE.

• The company plans to launch its Mometasone Furoate Monohydrate nasal spray in the first quarter of 2025.
• The spray will be used for the treatment of the nasal symptoms of seasonal allergic and perennial allergic rhinitis in patients above two years of age.

Carysil Limited has approved raising ₹150 crore via qualified institutions placement (QIP).

Benchmark Indices - NIFTY 50 ( +0.26% ) and SENSEX (+0.32%) turn marginally up, backed from gains in Eicher Motor, Maruti Suzuki, Bharat Petroleum and Bajaj Finance.
