NIFTY50 and Sensex close flat amid volatility; Stock Market Highlights

The NIFTY Financial Services (-0.01%) index closed flat today. REC (+9.2%) and PFC (+8.2%) were the top gainers, whereas ICICI Pru Life (-1.4%) and HDFC Life (-1.3%) were the top losers.

The NIFTY Smallcap 100 index closed 0.8% higher. The NIFTY Midcap 100 Index also closed in green, up 0.8%.

The BANK NIFTY (+0.1%) index closed flat today. Weakness in Axis Bank (-1.4%), HDFC Bank (-0.1%) and ICICI Bank (-0.1%) was a drag on the index.

NIFTY50 (+0.12%) and Sensex (+0.05%) recouped losses and closed marginally higher amid volatility. Weakness in Infosys, TCS and Axis Bank was a major drag on the index. On the sectoral front, Realty and Oil & Gas were the top gainers, while IT and Private Bank were the top losers.

Shares of Shilpa Medicare are up 2% today.

This comes a day after its Bengaluru unit received approval from Therapeutic Goods Administration (Australia) for manufacturing, labelling, packaging and testing of medicinal Oral Mouth Dissolving Films (Wafers). The unit is already supplying Oral Film products to the US and other markets.

The IPO of the real estate developer will open for subscription between 18 December and 20 December 2023. The price band for the public issue of the Mumbai-based company will be ₹340 to ₹360 per share. The IPO size is ₹400 crore.

The IPO of India’s fastest growing stationary products maker has been oversubscribed on day 1 itself. The DOMS Industries IPO is subscribed 3.4 times, as of 2:15 pm.
