On Account of Diwali-Balipratipada, Tuesday,14th November 2023 is a Trading Holiday. Due to this, keep the following impact in mind: 

🔸 Equity and Derivatives Markets will be closed on Tuesday, 14th Nov and trading will resume on Wednesday, 15th November

🔸 Commodity Market will be working in the evening session only.

🔸 No fund withdrawal request shall be processed on the 14th Nov including the Standard Fund Withdrawal requests after 8 AM on Mon, 13th Nov.

Muhurat Trading is a special 1-hour session held every year on the occasion of Diwali to mark the beginning of a New Samvat Year. Investors consider Muhurat Trading auspicious and believe it will bring wealth and prosperity throughout the coming year

And to celebrate this auspicious occasion, we are offering brokerage*- free trading on 12th Nov!

The Muhurat Trading day timings will be:

Keep the following in mind:

• 🔹 Keep your account funded in advance.
• 🔹 MTF (Margin Trading Facility) will be unavailable on 12th Nov
• 🔹 Margin Pledge and Unpledge will be unavailable on 12th Nov
  
• 🔹 All intraday positions (including cover and bracket orders) may be squared-off after 7:00 PM
  
• 🔹 Stocks bought on Fri,10th Nov can’t be sold on Sun,12th Nov (during Muhurat Trading hours)
  
• 🔹 Settlement of all trades placed on 10th and 12th Nov will take place on 13th Nov
  
• 🔹 Fund withdrawals will not be processed on 12th Nov
  
• 🔹 Credit bill of all segments of 10th Nov will be unavailable for trading on 12th Nov
• 🔹 Call and Trade facility will be available between 5:30 PM to 7:45 PM
  
• 🔹 After-market orders (AMO) will be available during the following timeframes on 12th Nov:

For Sunday’s trades:

🔸 Equity segment: AMO will be available till 5:58 PM 

🔸 Other segments: AMO will be available until 6:10 PM 

For Monday’s trades:

🔸 AMO window will reopen post 7:40 PM

All MCX Intraday positions will be squared-off at 11.25 P.M.

On 26th October 2023 few of our users faced a market feed issue. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this might have caused. Here’s a detailed breakdown of why this happened and how we resolved it:

• 🔸 9:58 AM: We were alerted that one of our IT Systems had developed issues due to which some of our users who were on the impacted system were unable to view updated market feeds. Users who weren’t on this setup remained unimpacted.
  
  Why did this happen? Our routine alerting system, which is designed to notify us in case of overutilization of resources, failed to trigger due to which our system ran out of space and some of our users were impacted.

• 🔸 10:15 AM: We managed to shift impacted users to our backup system within 15 minutes, post which  they were able to view market feed. Within another 5-10 minutes our charts and alerts services were also restored.

• 🔸 10:52 AM: While this didn’t impact all customers of Upstox, we notified the impacted users and sincerely apologised for the inconvenience caused.

We're continuing to investigate how we missed the critical alert and how to be better prepared in the future. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

All ITM Natural Gas Option contracts on 24th October 2023 will be converted into Future contracts.
