Most brokerage stocks extend rally as SENSEX, NIFTY hit fresh record highs

Most brokerage stocks closed with decent gains on Thursday, April 4, mirroring the positive sentiment in the broader market. The Indian benchmark indices, the BSE SENSEX and the NSE NIFTY ended in the green after hitting their record highs during the session.

NIFTY 50 hit its record high of 22,619 and closed 0.36% higher at 22,514.65. The Sensex also hit its fresh record high of 74501.73 and closed 0.47% higher at 74,227.63.

Out of the 11 brokerage firm stocks reviewed today, as many as 8, including Geojit Financial Services, SMC Global Securities and Motilal Oswal Financial Services ended higher, with some of them extending their gains into the sixth consecutive session.

On the flip side, shares of Angel One, 5Paisa Capital and IIFL Securities ended lower.

Here is the recap of the performances of top brokerage stocks on Thursday:

Geojit Financial Services: Extending the gains into the fourth consecutive session, Geojit Financial Services shares ended 1.35% higher at ₹79.05 on the NSE.

SMC Global Securities: SMC Global Securities share price closed with a mild gain of 0.49% at ₹132.1 apiece on the NSE. With today's gains, the stock extended its winning streak into the sixth consecutive session.

Motilal Oswal Financial Services: The stock closed 0.32% up at ₹1,831 apiece. This was the fourth consecutive session of gains for the stock.

Anand Rathi Wealth: The stock gained for the second consecutive session, ending 0.21% higher at ₹3,515 on the NSE.

Nuvama Wealth Management: Rising for the third straight session, Nuvama Wealth Management's share price rose 1.28% to close at ₹4,941.15 apiece.

ICICI Securities: Shares of ICICI Securities ended 0.26% higher at ₹721. With this, the stock snapped its four-day losing run.

Dolat Algotech: The stock closed with a gain of 1.11% at ₹77.7 per piece.

5Paisa Capital: 5Paisa Capital's share price fell on profit booking. The stock snapped its five-day winning streak to close at ₹572, down 3.43%.

IIFL Securities: Shares of the brokerage firm also snapped their five-day winning streak to close 1.8% lower at ₹136.3 apiece on the NSE.

Angel One: It suffered a substantial loss of 4.2% to end at ₹3,038.

Monarch Networth Capital: Shares of Monarch Networth Capital closed in the green at ₹604.5 apiece, up 3.93%, on the NSE after hitting an intraday high of ₹611.95.
