Q4 results today: HDFC Bank, India’s largest private lender in terms of assets and the world’s sixth largest bank as per the market capitalisation, is set to declare its results for the fourth quarter of financial year 2023-24 (Q4 FY24) on Saturday, April 20. Along with HDFC Bank, a few other sizable companies such as Alok Industries, Bhansali Engineering Polymers, and Sterling and Wilson Renewable Ltd would also post their earnings today.

The Q4 earnings season began this month, as India’s top listed entities began declaring the details of their financial performance in the period between January and March 2024. In this week so far, two of India’s IT giants – Infosys and Wipro – posted their quarterly results, along with companies such as Hindustan Zinc, Jio Financial Services, Bajaj Auto, ICICI Lombard Health Insurance and others.

List of companies announcing Q4 results today

  • HDFC Bank: The Mumbai-headquartered lender, founded in 1994, took over its parent entity – the Housing Development Finance Corporation – last year, in what was one of the country’s biggest amalgamation.
  • Alok Industries: Operating since 1986, the Mumbai-based company is a noted textile manufacturer. It is currently owned by Reliance Industries Ltd.
  • Bhansali Engineering Polymers: Based in Mumbai, the firm is a major manufacturer of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, which is a thermoplastic used in making pipes, protective head gears, wheel covers and other automotive body parts.
  • Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited: The company is a global renewable engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) solutions provider. It is headquartered in Mumbai.

HDFC Bank Q4 results preview

According to the estimate shared by news agency Bloomberg, HDFC Bank was expected to post a revenue of ₹40,954.1 crore, and a net profit of ₹17,593.5 crore. As per the business update for the quarter shared earlier by the lender, its deposits climbed by 7.5% sequentially to ₹23.8 lakh crore in the January-March period.

On Friday, April 19, the shares of HDFC Bank settled 2.64% higher on the NSE at ₹1,534.20 apiece.
