In a historic milestone, Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH Dhruv) made by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is all set to fly at the Singapore Airshow. The helicopters will be operated by the renowned Sarang Helicopter Display Team of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

After arriving in Singapore on February 12, 2024, the Sarang Helicopter Display Team conducted its first practice display on February 18, operating from the Changi airbase of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).

The Singapore Airshow, slated to commence on February 20, 2024, is a global platform featuring leading aircraft manufacturers, display teams, and operators from around the world.

The ALH Dhruv, manufactured by HAL, will take centerstage at the show, displaying agility, manoeuvrability and the exceptional skills of IAF pilots.

This marks a significant moment for HAL, as it unveils its indigenous helicopter platform on an international stage.

Notably, the Sarang team's first international display also took place in Singapore at the Asian Aerospace Airshow in 2004.

The successful induction and operational utilisation of HAL's ALH Dhruv by all branches of the Indian armed forces underscore India's strides towards self-reliance in the defence sector.
