The company made its first major acquisition after taking over the business of Saurashtra Samachar. It launched its first Hindi magazine, 'AHA! Zindagi'.
Next year, the company acquired a license from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for the launch of the Radio business through its subsidiary Synergy Media Entertainment Ltd.
DB Corp launched DB Gold – the first compact newspaper in Gujarati from Surat.
In 2009, the company launched its initial public offering (IPO). DB Corp announced the launch of Dainik Bhaskar newspaper from Bihar's Patna and added three new editions in the next year.
