About ICICI Prudential NIFTY 50 ETF

• The ICICI Prudential NIFTY 50 ETF (exchange traded fund) is an equity fund that tries to replicate the performance of NIFTY 50 TRI (Total Return Index), subject to tracking errors.
• The ETF was launched in March 2013.
• The fund is suitable for investors who have long term wealth creation goals and want to invest in relatively safer equity funds. Largecap ETF funds are considered more stable than the small and midcap funds. However, the EFT falls under the ‘Very High Risk’ category.
• The net asset value (NAV) of the ETF stood at ₹ 271.64 per unit as of July 15, 2024.
• The ETF is listed on the NSE and can be traded during regular market hours.
• The total marketcap of the ETF stood at ₹17,841.80 crore as of July 15, 2024.
• The total assets under management (AUM) of ICICI Prudential NIFTY 50 ETF is ₹17,419.9 crore.

Investment objective & Benchmark

• The ICICI Prudential NIFTY 50 ETF tracks NIFTY 50 TRI and invests in stocks that are part of the NIFTY 50 index.
• The fund aims to give returns similar to that of the NIFTY 50 index which has India’s top 50 largest stocks across sectors.
• Since inception the ETF has given returns of 15.04%
• In the last five years the ETF has given 17.51% return and 17.34% in the last three years. The ETF has gained 27.95% in the past one year.

Asset Allocation & Portfolio Composition

• The fund is mandated to have at least 80% of its exposure to the largecap stocks.
• As on June 30, 2024, 80.85% of its portfolio comprised largecap stocks, and 3.23% was smallcap stocks.
• Like the benchmark index, the banking sector has the highest weight in the fund, followed by IT, oil refiners and automobiles.
