Reliance Industrial Infrastructure Limited (RIIL), a part of Reliance Group, is primarily engaged in development and operations of industrial infrastructure. The company is also involved in associated activities including the leasing and provision of services related to computer software and data processing.

The company is headquartered in Mumbai. RIIL was established in September 1988 under the name Chembur Patalganga Pipelines Limited. The company's name was changed to CPPL Limited in 1992 and in 1994, it was transformed to its current name Reliance Industrial Infrastructure Limited. The commercial operations of the company started in March 1992.

RIIL entered into an agreement with Gujarat Gas Company Limited to engage in the LPG business in Gujarat in 1999. RIIL's equity participation (10%) in Larson & Toubro was transferred to Grasim Industries Limited in 2001. In February 2006, RIIL got approval from the Railway Board to operate container trains on specific routes across the country.

Reliance Corporate Centre and Reliance Convention and Exhibition Centre became subsidiaries of RIIL in 2008. More than a decade later, the company transitioned from the category of 'Promoter Group' of Reliance Industries Limited to the 'Public' category in 2021.

The market capitalisation of Reliance Industrial Infrastructure Limited stood at ₹2,100 crore as of January 22, 2024. RIIL share price has gained more than 250% in the last three years.

Reliance Industrial Infrastructure Limited Business Operations

Reliance Industrial Infrastructure Limited's business operations include offering transportation services for oil, petroleum products and water via its pipelines and leasing construction machinery. Its three main business segments are product transportation service, support services and leasing of construction machinery. Its operations are spread in the Mumbai and Rasayani regions of Maharashtra, as well as in the Surat and Jamnagar areas of Gujarat.

The company also provides infrastructure support services to the Reliance Industries Group, with a significant portion dedicated to Reliance Industries Limited.

The company has established a 200-millimetre diameter twin pipeline system originating from the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Refinery in Mahul, Mumbai. This system is designed for the transportation of petroleum products including naphtha and kerosene to the Petrochemical Complex of Reliance Industries Limited in Patalganga.

Reliance Industrial Infrastructure Limited has also undertaken the construction and commissioning of various facilities. These include a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and a Cathodic Protection system implemented for the mentioned pipeline system.

A few other infrastructure development projects include the construction of a Jackwell at River Tapi and an 18-kilometre long 1200-millimetre diameter Raw Water Pipeline System in Hazira. The company has further established a70,000-kilolitre petrochemical product storage cum distribution terminal at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust Area in Nhava Sheva, Uran (Raigad District) in Maharashtra. RIIL has also acquired and deployed a range of construction machinery available for hire at different construction sites throughout India.
