The Construction segment includes water supply-related activities, viz. urban and rural water supply, large-diameter irrigation pipelines, head works, including pumping machinery, treatment plants, overhead tanks and other allied civil construction. It supplies concrete railway sleepers to Indian railways. It is involved in the business of manufacturing, laying and jointing of pipelines of various pipe materials, such as steel pipes, prestressed concrete pipes, penstock pipes, bar-wrapped steel cylinder pipes and prestressed concrete cylinder pipes, which provide infrastructure facilities and the development of drinking water supply projects, irrigation projects, sanitation and sewerage schemes.
