Fortis Healthcare Ltd is a leading healthcare services provider in India. The company operates a chain of hospitals. The company runs a network of super speciality hospitals and multi speciality hospitals. The company offers tele-medicine services through its hospital network. It also focuses on research in various disciplines of medical science.

The company is a subsidiary of IHH Healthcare Berhad Company. It is a for-profit hospital chain and has its headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana. The first ever Fortis Hospital was established in Mohali, Punjab. Fortis provides a wide range of consolidated healthcare services including clinical care, quaternary care along with a full spectrum of ancillary services.

The market capitalisation of Fortis Healthcare Limited stood at over ₹32,800 crore, as of February 5, 2024. Fortis Healthcare share price has surged 160% in the last three years.

Fortis Healthcare business operations

The company operates 28 healthcare facilities with more than 4500 operational beds. It also operates more than 400 diagnosis centres (inclusive of Joint Ventures), which makes it one of the biggest players in the healthcare industry in India.

Outside India the company has a presence in Nepal, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Sri Lanka. Fortis Healthcare has partnerships with major global healthcare chains. Approximately 23,000 people are employed at Fortis.

The Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI) is the flagship hospital of the company and a prominent research centre. The vision of the company is to develop an international level healthcare delivery system in the country that entails the best medical skills along with solicitous patient care. The company aims to be an internationally acclaimed organisation for healthcare excellence and distinguished patient care.

In April 2023, Fortis Healthcare Limited acquired Medeor Hospitals in Manesar, Haryana. The acquisition would enable the company to expand its presence in Gurugram where the company operates the Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI).

In its earlier years, the chain had also purchased the Escorts Group’s healthcare branch which helped it increase its strength in different parts of the country.

The company’s diagnostic service arm was renamed as Agilus Diagnostics Limited with effect from May 31, 2023. Agilus has presence in 27 states and Union Territories across India. It also has centres in Nepal, outside India.

• Revenue: Fortis Healthcare reported revenue of ₹9,178.50 crore in FY26 vs ₹7,849.69 crore in FY25. It showed an increase of 16.93% on a yearly basis.
• Operating Profit: Fortis Healthcare reported an operating profit of ₹1,365.85 crore in FY26 vs ₹1,007.04 crore in FY25. It showed an increase of 35.63% on a year-on-year basis.
• Net Profit: Fortis Healthcare reported a net profit of ₹1,064.19 crore in FY26 vs ₹809.38 crore in FY25. It showed an increase of 31.48% on a yearly basis.

Fortis Healthcare Quarterly Result Highlights

• Fortis Healthcare reported revenue of ₹2,369.06 crore in Mar 2026, compared with ₹2,273.30 crore in Dec 2025, representing an increase of 4.21% on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis.
• Fortis Healthcare reported an operating profit of ₹324.20 crore in Mar 2026, compared with ₹265.68 crore in Dec 2025, representing an increase of 22.03% on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis.
• Fortis Healthcare reported a profit of ₹271.19 crore in Mar 2026, compared with ₹197.40 crore in Dec 2025, reflecting an increase of 37.38% on a QoQ basis.
• The earnings per share (EPS) of Fortis Healthcare stood at ₹10.26 during Mar 2026.
