Incorporated in 1995, the company was earlier known as Hughes Telecom (India) Limited and it was renamed as Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd in 2003. Initially it received licences to provide telephony services in Maharashtra and Goa. However, the company exited the business in 2017 after heavy losses.

The data management services of TTML include data backup, data centre hosting, data security and analytics.

The company’s cybersecurity solutions include firewalls, malware protections, intrusion detection and data encryption. TTML provides security consulting services to assess security risks for businesses, under its TTBS brand.

The marketing solutions of TTML include both traditional and latest technology driven solutions. Under its digital marketing services the company helps businesses in search engine optimisation (SEO), social media marketing, and email marketing. The company is engaged in outdoor, television and print advertising solutions.

Apart from its major business verticals the company also develops communication and network solutions to cater to specific needs of clients in industries like banking, finance, insurance, ITES, manufacturing, healthcare, education and retail.
