AMD Industries Ltd is one of the largest business packing solutions providers in India. They provide packaging solutions to all the top players in the beverages, liquor and processed foods market.

AMD Industries has also become the largest packaging articles provider for carbonated drinks and the pharmaceutical industry. They started operations in 1958 as a private trading company and then shifted their focus towards packaging solutions. Today, they have grown to become the packaging partner of multinationals like Coca-Cola, Pepsi and South African Breweries. They also have business operations with large pharma and healthcare companies.

AMD Industries started as a private trading company and was later incorporated as Ashoka Metal Decor Private Ltd. in 1983. This was the year when hey shifted their main focus to packaging solutions for businesses. In 2004, Ashoka Metal Decor Private Ltd turned to AMD Metplast Ltd. with a fresh incorporation certificate.

In February 2007, AMD Industries launched an initial public offering (IPO). The market capitalisation of AMD Industries is over ₹130 crore as of January 11, 2024. AMD Industries has gained over 250% in the last three years.

The company started its first plant in 1986. In 1989, it had to set up a second plant to fulfil the growing demand for packaging products. AMD Industries started a third unit in 1995 and expanded manufacturing setups.

AMD Metplast then entered into crown manufacturing and bought an entire manufacturing plant from Italy in 2004. The company changed its name to AMD Industries Ltd in 2010 when it was already listed on the Indian exchanges.

As on March 31, 2023, close to 67% of shares of the AMD Industries Limited are owned by the promoters, whereas the public holds the remaining 33% shares in the company.

Business operations

AMD Industries primarily depends on the manufacturing plant in Neemrana, Rajasthan, for the crown caps and other products. The company has its headquarters in New Delhi.

AMD Industries employees close to 500 employees on a permanent payroll. The company manufactures crown caps, pet preforms, jars, and bottles for various edible items. The company is also providing packaging solutions to food and household care clients.

In partnership with VSR Infratech Private Limited, the company is building a commercial complex at Gurgaon, Haryana, through its related company, AMD Estates & Developers Private Limited. The project has generated revenue ₹167.11 lakh during the reviewed year.

– AMD Industries Ltd's revenue from operations for FY23 stood at ₹350 crore, up by 67% compared to ₹210 crore in FY22. – Profit after Tax (PAT) of the company increased to ₹19 crore as against ₹8 crore for the previous year, registering a growth of 137.5%. — The earnings per share (EPS) for FY23 was ₹10.02 compared to ₹4.28 in the previous financial year.
