Welspun Living, earlier known as Welspun India Limited, is the largest terry towel producer in Asia. The company manufactures a range of home textile products, focusing mainly on terry towels, bed linen products and rugs.

Welspun India, a part of the $2.7 billion flagship company of the Welspun Group, is one of the largest manufacturers of home textiles globally. It is the largest exporter of home textile goods from India and serves as a supplier to 17 of the top 30 global retailers.

Welspun Living Limited began as a small unit named Welspun Winilon Silk Mills in the Palghar district in 1985. Welspun Polyester India Limited went public with its initial public offering (IPO) in 1991 and subsequently transformed into Welspun India Limited. In 1993, Welspun India established a terry towel facility in Vapi, Gujarat. Welspun USA was formed as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Welspun India Limited in 2000.

Business operations

Welspun Living Limited's business segments include home textiles, power and flooring. The primary business segment of home textiles includes towels, bathrobes, bath rugs, area rugs, carpets, bedsheets, utility bedding and fashion bedding.

Welspun supplies products to 17 of the top 30 global retailers and has a significant presence in 50 countries worldwide. Its distribution networks span over 32 countries including the USA, Canada, UK and Australia. Welspun India operates two cutting-edge textile manufacturing facilities in Anjar and Vapi in Gujarat.

Its power brands, Welspun and Spaces, have the widest distribution in India. They are available in over 500 towns and 11,170 retail units, making the company a market leader. The company employs around 19,000 people at over three production sites, serving over 50 countries through leading global retail outlets. About 85% of its products are sold globally, with more than 61% in the US, 15% in the UK and Europe, and the remainder in the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

In India, the company has expanded its online presence through marketplaces such as Myntra and Amazon and has established a wide presence through its stores and D2C sites in the growing e-commerce retail market.

Welspun Living Limited introduced many new products in its portfolio in FY23. It launched Dreamtec Sheet, designed to enhance the body's natural cooling system. The company also introduced Martha Kids, a new line featuring design themes such as travel, world geography, transportation, farming and camping. It also added washable area rugs, a groundbreaking addition to its product lineup.

The company also extended its reach in the kids' category through licences from Disney, Marvel and Lucas brands, covering the entire UK and EU region. It achieved its highest-ever branded sales of H1,584 crore, accounting for 22% of the overall revenue in FY23.

• Revenue: Welspun India reported revenue of ₹9,467.91 crore in FY26 vs ₹10,697.24 crore in FY25. It showed a decrease of 11.49% on a yearly basis.
• Operating Profit: Welspun India reported an operating profit of ₹287.47 crore in FY26 vs ₹860.18 crore in FY25. It showed a decrease of 66.58% on a year-on-year basis.
• Net Profit: Welspun India reported a net profit of ₹212.89 crore in FY26 vs ₹644.02 crore in FY25. It showed a decrease of 66.94% on a yearly basis.

• Welspun India reported revenue of ₹2,451.20 crore in Mar 2026, compared with ₹2,276.64 crore in Dec 2025, representing an increase of 7.67% on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis.
• Welspun India reported an operating profit of ₹125.20 crore in Mar 2026, compared with ₹14.46 crore in Dec 2025, representing an increase of 765.84% on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis.
• Welspun India reported a profit of ₹106.16 crore in Mar 2026, compared with ₹2.57 crore in Dec 2025, reflecting an increase of 4,030.74% on a QoQ basis.
• The earnings per share (EPS) of Welspun India stood at ₹7.06 during Mar 2026.
