The company’s consolidated activities are divided into two primary segments. The international IT Services segment, which constitutes 26% of the total revenues and a significant 69% of the profit after tax (PAT). On the other hand, the domestic IT products contributed 74% of the total revenues, although accounting for 31% of the PAT.

Sonata Software partners with many tech giants and its partner network includes strong ties with Microsoft, AWS, Salesforce and Google.

Partnerships have significantly contributed to the company's revenue, constituting over 50% of its total pipeline. It has also expanded high-growth services in its four focused verticals: Telecommunications, media and technology, retail and manufacturing; banking, financial services and insurance and healthcare and life sciences.

In the financial year 2022-23, Sonata strategically improved its US operations. With the US being its largest market, it has expanded significantly in the region, securing Fortune 500 clients and long-term contracts. The company has also established new development centres in Mexico and Costa Rica to enable local service delivery for US clients.

To increase its market in the UK and Europe region, Sonata Software has opened a new development centre in Ireland.

Sonata Software has acquired Quant Systems Inc. to increase its presence in the BFSI and health and life science sectors. The acquisition not only gave the company a pool of experts in the US but also strengthened its nearshore capabilities in Mexico and Costa Rica. The acquisition was aimed to enable quicker and more efficient service delivery to clients in North and South America.

With 38 years of experience, Sonata Software has a team of over 6,500 engineers across the US, UK, EU, Asia-Pacific and Australia-New Zealand, representing 17 countries.

Sonata Software’s revenue from operations for FY23 stood at ₹7,449.12 crore, up 34.1% from ₹5,553.37 crore in FY22. The net profit after tax for 2022-23 was ₹451.9 crore compared to ₹376.43 crore during the previous year. In FY23, the earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased to ₹674.95 crore from the previous year's ₹565.73 crore. The company's earnings per share (EPS) stood at ₹32.58 in FY23 compared to ₹27.17 in the previous financial year.
