Jain Irrigation ventured into the large-scale commercial farming by implementing MIS in corporate agriculture projects in the year 1994. During the same year, the company implemented a 100% export-oriented unit with a separate factory at Bambhori in Jalgaon for the manufacturing of polytubes. The company also entered into an MOU with a South African entity for production and marketing of their newly developed sprinklers. The company’s subsidiaries, Jain Plastics & Chemicals Ltd, Jain Kemira Fertilisers Ltd and Jain Rahan Biotech Ltd were amalgamated into the parent entity in 1996.

The company increased the production capacity of PVC pipes to over 35,600 tons per annum in 1997. This facilitated the company becoming the largest single producer of PVC pipes in the country.

The company has pioneered in introducing modern irrigation systems backed by innovative technologies. Jain Irrigation aims to protect the interest of the agriculture community through better utilisation of the natural resources and by minimising the wastage of water.

The company has made a technical collaboration with RIS of Italy for drip irrigation systems and with Chapin Watermatics of the United States for multi-chambered drip irrigation.

These services include complete project planning, application process, conversion of waste land, crop agronomy and protected cultivation. The company’s food processing subsidiary Jain Farms Fresh Foods Limited has set up a food processing unit in Jalgaon. The company also produces and supplies frozen vegetables and fruits globally.
