Jai Corp

Jai Corp is a manufacturing company that has also ventured into real estate and venture capital. Since its incorporation, Jai Corp has been working primarily in steel manufacturing. The company started manufacturing woven sacks in 1985.

They bought their first manufacturing setup in Murbad, Maharashtra, and started commercial production in January 1987. The installed capacity of this plant was 800 tonnes per annum (TPA). In 1990, Jai Corp started its second production unit with a capacity of 1200 TPA. Later on, they started manufacturing fabrics, along with woven sacks.

The company also started dealing with yarn spinning, polywoven products and masterbatches. In 1992, it started the production of jumbo bags in a new facility in Silvassa. The company name was changed to Jai Fibre Industries Ltd in 1993 but was again altered to become Jai Corp in 1994.

In 2005, the company signed an agreement with ARCIL and entered the real estate and infrastructure projects market. Over the years, the historical functioning of the company in plastic and woven product manufacturing has changed significantly.

The company’s market capitalisation is over ₹7,000 crore as of January 15, 2024. Jai Corp's share price has risen by over 320% in the last three years.

Business operations

Jai Corp currently has strategic business operations under SEZ development, real estate projects, steel division, plastic processing division and port management. The company has four production facilities for the plastic processing division. Polywoven products galvanised and plain steel sheets, yarns, and colour additive masterbatches are some of the products.

The company caters to a varied customer base of different industries. Its product lineup comprises woven sacks/fabric, jumbo bags, pp staple fibre, geotextiles, steel coil and steel sheets.

The company serves diverse verticals such as agriculture, construction, packaging, textiles, automotive, appliances, and general engineering.

Currently, more than 1400 employees work in Jai Corp. It has two special economic zones under construction, one in Navi Mumbai and the second in Mumbai. Both the SEZs are developed as futuristic business hubs to attract international business partners.
