Under the scheme, eligible graduates and postgraduates may be assigned up to 100 hours of honorary work per month in various state government departments, boards, or agencies. In return, they receive an additional honorarium of up to ₹6,000 per month.

Over time, the scheme’s eligibility criteria were expanded to include graduates and post-graduates in Science, Engineering, and allied fields, as well as individuals holding degrees in B.Com, BA (Mathematics), BA (Arts), and even students who have passed 12 (10+2).

How to Register for Saksham Yuva Yojana?

Step 1: Visit and sign up on the Employment Department, Haryana website.

Step 2: Click on ‘Free Job Seekers Registration’ and then click on ‘Proceed with Registration’.

Step 3: Enter your personal and educational details in the 5-page form and click on ‘Next’.

Step 4: Once the registration is successful, you will receive a login ID and password via SMS or to your registered email.

Step 5: Take a printout of the temporary ID card generated from the registration and submit it along with other required documents, such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Educational Certificates, Domicile Certificate and Bank Account Details to the nearest employment exchange within 15 days of online registration.

Step 6: Once your documents are submitted and verified, log in to the Saksham Yuva Yojana portal via the Employment Department of Haryana by entering your login details.

Step 7: Carefully read the terms and conditions of the scheme and select your qualification and eligibility conditions. ** Step 8:** Enter your preference, such as district, job type and skill you wish to develop.

Who Can Apply for the Saksham Yuva Yojana?

The following are the people eligible to apply for the Saksham Yuva Yojana.

• For this scheme, the applicant must be aged 18 to 35 for 12 (10+2) holders, and 21 to 35 for graduates and postgraduates.
• Applicant should be a domicile of Haryana.
• Applicants must have passed at least 12 (10+2) as a regular student from a recognised school affiliated to the Board of School Education, Haryana, Bhiwani, Central Board of School Education (CBSE), Delhi and the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Board, Delhi, situated in Haryana and UT Chandigarh only.
• Applicants who completed a two-year diploma after matriculation or hold a graduate or post-graduate degree are eligible for the Saksham Yuva Yojana.
• Applicant’s annual family income should be below ₹3 lakh.
• Applicants with Post Graduate/Graduate degree obtained only through regular courses from Punjabi University, Patiala and any recognised Universities in UT Chandigarh, NCT Delhi or Haryana. Applicants who opted for a degree through correspondence could also apply.

Who Is Ineligible to Apply for the Saksham Yuva Yojana

The following are the individuals who cannot apply for the Saksham Yuva Yojana.

• Applicant has passed 10+2 examination through correspondence/ National Open School.
• Applicant is a regular student under a full-time course.
• Applicant is an employee dismissed from Government Service.
• Applicants in any kind of employment, e.g. public/private sector/quasi-government or self-employment, are not eligible for the scheme.
• The annual family income of the applicant is more than ₹3 lakhs from all sources.
