You can still access financial services, but you need to apply for a duplicate PAN card first.

Issued by the Government of India, a duplicate PAN card is an identical copy of your original PAN card. It includes the same number and personal information as mentioned in the original one. The duplicate PAN Card is issued when there is a loss, damage, or misplacement of the existing PAN Card.

One can apply for a duplicate PAN card online through the Protean (NSDL) or UTIITSL website easily.
Step 1: Go to the Protean (NSDL) website.
Step 2: Choose ‘PAN’ under Tax Modernisation.
Step 3: Now, click on ‘Apply Now,’ and you will be redirected to a new page.
Step 4: From the dropdown, choose ‘Reprint of PAN Card’ and select the applicant category, such as individual, HUF, Company, or other.
Step 5: Fill out the personal information:

Step 7: Now, click on Submit.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Reprint PAN Card” option on the home screen.
Step 3: Check the instructions and click on the ‘Reprint PAN Card’ tab.

Note: You can only apply for a duplicate PAN card through UTIITSL if your original PAN card was issued by them.
Step 1: Download and print the ‘Request for new PAN card or/and changes or Correction in PAN Data’ form PAN CR-01.
Step 2: Complete the application form in BLOCK letters and black ink.
Step 3: Individual applications require 2 cross-signed photographs of passport size. The face should not be covered while signing.
Step 4: Fill in all other details in the form and make all necessary signatures. Since there is no change in your PAN details, you need to uncheck the boxes or sections marked in the left margin.
Step 5: Submit the application and documents at the PAN centre. On making the payment, a 15-digit acknowledgement number gets generated.
Step 6: The facilitation centre forwards your application to the Income-Tax PAN Services Unit for further processing.
Step 7: The facilitation centre will forward your request to the Income-Tax PAN Services Unit for processing.
Step 8: You can check the status of the duplicate PAN card through the 15-digit acknowledgement number.
Note: The delivery of the duplicate PAN card takes 15-20 days from the date the department receives the application.

Step 1: Go to the official website of Protean or UTIITSL.
Step 2: Click on ‘Request for e-PAN/ e-PAN XML' or ‘Download e-PAN' from the available options.
Step 3: Now on the new webpage, enter the necessary information and the captcha and click on the 'Submit' button.
Step 4: Then select either one of the three options to get the OTP, email address, or phone number or both. Accept the declaration and click the 'Generate OTP' button.
Step 5: Enter the OTP and click on the 'Validate' button.
Step 6: Finally, click the 'Download PDF' button.
Your PAN card will now be available to download in PDF format. Your PAN card is password-protected; the password will be your date of birth.
