What if I do not have sufficient margin available while placing the conversion requests?

You can always check the 'available margins' against the 'required margins' for conversion while placing the requests. If the required margins are less than the available margins, we recommend you top up your balance using the 'Add Funds' button.

Quick Solutions for Insufficient Margins

Option 1 - Add Funds to Your Account

1. Click the ‘Add Funds’ button visible on the conversion screen 2. Transfer money from your linked bank account instantly 3. Wait for fund confirmation (usually takes a few minutes) 4. Retry the conversion once funds are credited

Option 2 - Partial Conversion

1. Reduce the conversion quantity to match your available margins 2. Convert only the shares which can in your margin right now 3. Keep remaining shares in MTF or sell them separately 4. Add funds later to convert the rest if needed

Option 3 - Exit MTF Position

1. Sell the MTF position in the market instead of converting 2. Pay only the outstanding amount plus interest charges 3. Avoid additional margin requirements for conversion 4. Use proceeds for other investments if preferred

Important Reminders

  • Check margins daily as interest charges increase over time
  • Plan fund transfers in advance to avoid last-minute issues
  • Keep buffer amount for any unexpected margin changes
